Festive Period Notice

On December 19th, the Foundation will hold a team away day, during which our team will be unavailable. Following this, resources will be limited as staff take seasonal leave, and the Foundation will be closed from December 24th to January 2nd for the festive period.

During this time, responses to phone calls and emails may be delayed. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

We wish you a joyful and safe holiday season.

It’s now 100 days since the Foundation launched the Coronavirus Resilience Fund. In that time 350 grants have been awarded amounting to more than £1.2m across the West Midlands.

We’re so grateful to those who supported our initial appeal, every penny we raised will be put back into the region we care about. Our appeal raised more than £358,000.

We’d also like to give a special thank you to the National Emergencies Trust (NET) and the UKCF network for their appeal which has contributed significantly to our Resilience Fund and, more importantly, our communities.

Here’s how our funding has helped a handful of organisations:

Sarah Hemmings – Tiny Tim’s Children’s Centre:

“The support provided has helped Tiny Tim’s provide our new remote therapy service. Without this support the services we provide would be greatly reduced, many of the families we support wouldn’t have been able to be supported, thank you.”

Kerri–Anne Browne – Mercia MS Therapy:

“This grant will enable us to provide support to the most isolated and vulnerable people in our community, through our online physiotherapy, telephone counselling service and shopping provisions.”

Adil Parkar – Kokni Muslim Association Birmingham:

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your kind donation towards the vital cause we are undertaking in the city of Birmingham and surrounds.

“To date we have now delivered nearly 2500 food parcels locally and this amount can be audited and tracked to the last user by our team. Every box that has been created is done with utmost precision to cater for the individual needs.”

Tina Costello, Foundation Chief Executive:

“It’s been a crazy few months, but we’re immensely proud of the work we’ve done and the groups, individuals and projects we’ve been able to support.

“We’ll continue to support those affected by COVID-19 and have already made inroads into aiding the future of grassroots groups across the West Midlands with our Doing Things Differently Fund.

“Thank you to NET, UKCF, all our corporate donors who have backed our campaign and especially the public! We have been touched by your generosity.”
