Vital EV Solutions is the UK market leader in the sales, service and rental of Kempower (DC) rapid chargers. Based in Coventry, they want to give back to their community and support local charities and community groups who help people experiencing homelessness across the city.
Vital EV gave a generous donation of £5,000 to the Heart of England Community Foundation. The Foundation was chosen due to its extensive knowledge of local issues in Coventry from being the leading grant-giving charity in the region for 27 years. The donation will see several community groups benefit from funding to support vulnerable people this Winter.
Nic Rae, Founder and CEO at Vital EV Solutions, said:
“As a company, we have an ongoing commitment to support our local community through sports and community projects, and we are delighted to be working with the Heart of England Community Foundation. As the city reels from the after-effects of the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis, the Foundation is making a huge difference in the lives of Coventry’s most vulnerable citizens, and we are extremely proud to be associated with its essential cause.”
Government figures released by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities show more people are sleeping rough on the streets of Coventry – an increase of 50% from the previous year. The Foundation has funded hundreds of local homeless charities supporting projects that aim to break the cycle of homelessness, finding accommodation for those rough sleeping, as well as those who are part of the ‘hidden homeless’ demographic, currently living in unsafe conditions or in overcrowded temporary accommodation. This new donation will continue to support this vital work.
Tina Costello, CEO at the Foundation, said:
“It’s fantastic that Vital EV Solutions has chosen to donate to the Foundation, we are always enormously grateful to businesses who work with us to direct their money to where it will have the most impact. This money will make a huge difference to local beneficiaries over the difficult Winter months ahead.”
