Festive Period Notice

On December 19th, the Foundation will hold a team away day, during which our team will be unavailable. Following this, resources will be limited as staff take seasonal leave, and the Foundation will be closed from December 24th to January 2nd for the festive period.

During this time, responses to phone calls and emails may be delayed. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

We wish you a joyful and safe holiday season.

Leading Midlands PR, communications and public affairs agency, PLMR, have selected Heart of England Community Foundation as their charity partner for the year.

The PLMR Group, which has offices in Birmingham, Coventry and Westminster, donates five per cent of net profits to philanthropic causes every year, a tradition that started when the business was founded in 2006, and more than £350,000 has been donated to date.

For the first time, PLMR has nominated a ‘charity of the year’, and the group has chosen UK Community Foundations to benefit across the Midlands, London and the East of England, reflecting its office locations.

As part of the partnership, PLMR will donate an initial £2,500 to the Foundation as well as undertake fundraising activity throughout the year to bolster this total, and is particularly supporting local charities and organisations which support young people across the region.

Alex Grantham, Account Director and PLMR’s CSR lead for the Midlands, said:

“We are extremely pleased to name Heart of England Community Foundation as our charity partner for the year.

We have worked with the Foundation for a number of years and have been lucky enough to see first-hand what an incredible difference it has made to communities right across the Midlands, tackling local issues and helping them to thrive.

The Foundation has an incredible knowledge of local needs, and with its support we will be looking to distribute funding to some local grassroots charities and organisations that need it the most.

We were also pleased that our donations will go towards supporting young people in need, something that the Foundation is also incredibly passionate about.”

Tina Costello OBE, Chief Executive of the Heart of England Community Foundation, said:

“We’ve known the team at PLMR for many years and we are absolutely delighted to be working with them in this way.

The fact they cover the whole of the West Midlands and Warwickshire reflects our geography too and we can’t wait to see some of this money making a real difference in their local community.”

The PLMR Group will also be supporting Suffolk Community Foundation and London Community Foundation as part of the charity partnership.
