With almost 25 years of grant giving experience, the Foundation has distributed more than £16m to local community groups, many of which fall under the radar of national funders, but these organisations and our funding have had an impact on over 2,000,000 lives.
We have the pleasure of working in partnership with some amazing Birmingham based donors such as Wesleyan Assurance, IM Properties and Birmingham Live. We need to establish new relationships and increase our donor base across Birmingham to meet the ever-increasing demand for support. We tailor our work to fit your capacity and need, whether you want to start a fund, set up a legacy or just donate there is something for everyone!
Passionate about employment, health and well-being or homelessness? Whatever cause you want to support we have the knowledge to target your funds to the passions that are close to your heart. Still unsure on where you want to make a difference? Recent research commissioned by the foundation highlights areas of deprivation and offers strong recommendations across Birmingham and the Black Country with research currently commencing in Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire.
In the previous financial year, we awarded over £505,000 to organisations in Birmingham. In the same year we had to turn down over £1.6m requests for funding. The need in the region, like all the UK Community Foundation’s (UKCF) network, greatly outweighs our resources but with your support, we can do so much more. We are proud of our partnership with our largest corporate donor, Wesleyan Assurance, their foundation has awarded over £1m in grants to 299 projects.

We can fully rely on them to manage the distribution of funds the right way which means we know that our foundation is being expertly managed, and the money is going to the people and causes that will benefit most from it.
